  42. I have had a lot of experience with Rockwell chips recently (I do
  43. on-site installation and troubleshooting for a local ISP).  What I
  44. have seen in the other responses is only partially true (based on my
  45. experience).  First of all, twcomm.drv is not a BETTER driver than the
  46. windows default (comm.drv), it is only DIFFERENT.  There is a line in
  47. your windows\system.ini file like:
  48. comm.drv=????.drv   (usually comm.drv, twcomm.drv or wrpi.drv).

  50. If it is not, you PROBABLY need to install drivers that give you the
  51. error correction features that are not built into the modem
  52. (twcomm.drv does, but is not designed specifically for Rockwell based
  53. modems).
